The Omni Hotels & Resorts, in conjunction with the Dallas Cowboys, made an annoucement public yesterday that they are joining to bring an Omni Hotel to Frisco. The luxury hotel will be located within the 60+ acre development surrounding the Cowboys future training facilities and headquarters, just off the Tollway and Warren Parkway, in Frisco, and will be jointly owned by the Cowboys and Omni Hotels and Resorts. Plans are for the hotel to open in 2017 and to feature a rooftop deck pool that will overlook the area's plaza.
In addition to the rooftop pool, the Omni will include 300 rooms as well as meeting spaces, and a ballroom. This will be the first true luxury hotel for Frisco.
In addition to the hotel and Cowboys' facilities, the development will also have spaces for retail, restaurants and office spaces. The Cowboys multi-use facility will be used as the Cowboys practice facility; however, the City of Frisco will also benefit from the services of the facility by being able to also use it for high school football, city events, conventions and other large-use purpose occurances.
In partnering with the Cowboys, chief operating officer and executive vice president for the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen Jones said, "Omni is one of the country's top-rated luxury hotel brands", and "As one of the most recognizable and popular brands in the world ourselves, it makes perfect sense that we would team up to bring to life this extraordinary development."
